Members are drawn from shareholders investing in the society – shares cost £1 and the minimum share purchase is £50. Each member has one vote, regardless of the number of shares they hold.
Whistlewood Common Limited was initiated by Melbourne Area Transition, a community group looking at practical ways to make the area more resilient in the face of peak oil, climate change and economic uncertainty.
The Whistlewood Common logotype and symbol are assets specially drawn for, owned and used by Whistlewood Common Limited and those to whom it assigns such usage. Unauthorised use in any form or media is not permitted and may result in enforcement action being taken.
